In Vietnam, South Central Coast and South Central Region are two terms which can refer to the same region or two regions that do not correspond to each other. South Central Coast (sometimes called “South Central Region”) consists of the independent municipality of Da Nang and seven other provinces, which means South Central Coast does not include Central Highlands; nevertheless the term “South Central Region” can be also used to include Central Highlands as it is part of southern part of Central Vietnam.

The southern coastline of Vietnam, spanning from Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) to Nha Trang, is a diverse and captivating region renowned for its picturesque beaches and vibrant cities. Ho Chi Minh City, the largest city in Vietnam, serves as the entry point to this coastal journey.

A short trip from the city leads to Vung Tau, with its beautiful beaches, while further down the coast, Long Hai offers a serene escape. Phan Thiet and Mui Ne are known for their distinctive sand dunes and water sports, and Nha Trang stands out as a bustling coastal city with a range of water activities, cultural attractions, and stunning beaches like Nha Trang Beach and Bai Dai Beach. The best southern coastal driving in Vietnam occurs between Mui Ne and Nha Trang, passing through Phan Rang and Cam Ranh. Riding this area will open you up to exploring the stunning highlands of Dalat, the party city of Nha Trang, and the tourist activities around Mui Ne. Below we’ll explore the best coastal motorcycle routes and highlights along the way.

Destination: Ho Chi Minh city - Long Hai Beach - Mui Ne beach - Bao Loc - Dak Mil - Lak Lake - Nha Trang - Da lat

Day 1: Sai gon - Long Hai Beach: 140 Km
Start the 7 day motorbike tour from Saigon at 8:30 Am. Hit the road straight to La Gi town, visit Minh Dam Army Base, Thuong Chieu Monastery pagoda, dip your body in the hot water springs, Binh Chau, open your mind to learn more about Buddhism when you go to visit Long Ban old pagoda and the historic vestige Dinh Mountain. Stay overnight in the hotel next to the beach of Long Hai.

Day 2: Long Hai Beach - Mui Ne : 135 Km
It is a short ride today but it could be one of the best Vietnam motorcycle tours on coastlines. We can do some stops to visit the Champa’s villages and their temples to learn more about the Cham’s history and culture. Finish the short but enjoyable coastal road motorbike tour with a great swim at Mui Ne beach – one of the best beach in Vietnam.

Day 3: Mui Ne - Bao Loc Pass : 160 Km
Leaving Mui Ne beach in the early morning with a short motorbike ride on the coastal road to some rustic fishing villages, have enjoyable time with fairy springs, red canyon and amazing white sand dunes, have talk with the local to know the daily life of farmers who plan the dragon fruits. Day 4: Bao Loc Pass - Dak Mil : 170 Km

Day 5: Dak Mil - Lak Lake: 165 Km

We will ride through the Dray Sap and Dray Nu waterfalls (one of the most beautiful waterfalls of Vietnam) before have a great Ho Chi Minh trail motorcycle tour up to the north to the Lak lake. The Motorcycle ride on Ho Chi Minh trail offers plenty of historical sites and the breath-taking nature of the areas, we can have stops at some roadside villages to learn how the locals make rice papers, noodles, or trek to the top of elephant mountain to enjoy the panoramic views of the area, and then travel to Lak Lake before the sunset to have some great shots of M’nong Ethnic minority’s fishermen on the lake. Overnight in Lak lake. We can choose to do home-stay or stay in the guesthouse.

Day 6: Lak Lake - Nha Trang: 195 Km
You can ride elephant or have a boat ride to cross the Lake. After that we can have ashort walk to the village of the M’lieng and M’nong people to learn more about the culture of the hill tribes in Central Highlands Vietnam and see how the local make chopsticks, incenses. Then continue the Southern Vietnam Motorcycle Tour on stunning mountain roads of Phoenix Pass. We will then stop for a visit at the natural hot water springs to enjoy the nature and its beauty. Arrive in Nha Trang around 5 pm, check in the room and stay in Hotel.

Day 7: Nha Trang - Da Lat: 150 Km
Start the last day of the Southern Vietnam motorcycle tour lately with a relaxing ride through peaceful countryside of the mountain area, explore the daily life and cultures of different ethnic minority groups. Learn about the farmers who cultivate goods on their lands such as flowers, coffee, tea, mushrooms… And then motorcycle up to Da Lat then arrive the town and end the great 7 Day Motorbike Tour on coastlines and Central Highlands Vietnam at around 4 PM. Check in the hotel of your choice and say good bye to the staff.

  • The tour leader has sole discretion to alter the itinerary should it become necessary to do so due to a variety of reasons such as weather or other local conditions. No compensation will be considered in the event of such changes.
  • Vietnam Sightseing Tours and our partners take no responsibility for any flight delays or schedule changes at any stage throughout the trip. In the event of any such change no refund will be considered.
  • Vietnam Sightseing Tours insist that participants obtain personal travel insurance for this trip and will request proof of same. It is the participant’s responsibility to ensure that the insurance cover that they take is suitable for riding a motorcycle overseas and that they meet the insurer’s criteria for this cover.
  • Unexpected and uncontrollable situations may require last minute substitution of a motorcycle including after the trip has begun. Should we not be able to replace a motorcycle with the confirmed type or similar a prorated refund for the difference in models if any will be refunded to the participant.
  • Rider agrees to not ride whilest under the influence of drugs or alcohol, If a participant operates a motorcycle under the infulence of drugs or alcohol the rider tour will be cancelled.
  • Participants who intend to operate a motorcycle provided by us must be at least 21 years of age, hold a valid motorcycle licence from their home country .
  • Participants must also have at least 2 years of experience and be confident motorcycle rider.
  • If the participant does not comply with local traffic laws, displays dangerous riding behaviour, or does not follow safe group travel practices as described by the tour leader and set out in guidelines by us, we reserve the right to cancel the agreement with the rider and suspend riding privileges on the tour. Riding privileges will also be suspended for anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Participants agree to refrain from alcoholic beverages until the motorcycles have been parked for the night.
